Course Objectives It is aimed to convey information about the founding stages of the Republic of Turkey, to explain and make them adopt the basic characteristics of the Turkish revolution, and to raise young people with historical awareness.
Course Content Ataturk's Principles and History of Revolution II course mainly covers the phases of change, transformation and development that the Republic of Turkey experienced throughout the 20th century, the domestic and foreign policies implemented in these historical phases, and the analysis of the Republic of Turkey in the 21st Century.
Learning Outcomes (LO) LO1-To understand that Turkish Modernization involves continuity and development. LO2-To learn that the Balkan War was an important breaking point for Turkish Nationalism, together with the results of the war. LO3- To understand the causes and consequences of the First World War, to learn the conditions of the Turkish War of Independence. LO4 To learn the stages and results of the War of Independence, to know and understand the value of Atatürk, the leader of the War of Independence and the founder of the Republic of Turkey. LO5-To evaluate the importance of the Lausanne Peace Treaty, the steps taken on the road to the Republic and their results.

1. Week Ottoman Empire, Tripoli and Balkan Wars in the 19th Century.
2. Week The First World War and the Ottoman Empire: Causes and Beginning of the War, World War I from the Perspective of the Ottoman Empire, Fronts, Consequences of the War
3. Week Armistice of Mudros: Signing of the Armistice, Main Provisions, Implementation of the Armistice, Occupations, Political Events After the Armistice, Press during the Armistice Period.
4. Week Paris Peace Conference: Decisions Taken at the Conference for Turkish Lands, Occupation of Izmir. Societies in the Armistice Environment: National Forces, National Societies, Societies Hostile to National Existence.
5. Week After the Armistice of Mudros, Mustafa Kemal Pasha's Appointment as Inspector of the 9th Army and His Departure to Samsun. Period of Circulars and Congresses: Havza Circular, Amasya Circular, Erzurum and Sivas Congress, Other Congresses.
6. Week Arrival of Mustafa Kemal Pasha and her Representative Committee to Ankara, Meeting of the Last Ottoman Parliament, Declaration of the National Pact, Occupation of Istanbul.
7. Week Opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Structure and Functioning of the Parliament, Riots after the Opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Measures Taken by the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Treaty of Sevres.

9. Week Establishment of the Regular Army, Eastern Front, Armenian Question and Treaty of Gyumri, Southern Front, Treaty of Ankara.
10. Week Western Front, Battles of İnönü, London Conference, Acceptance of the National Anthem. Relations with Soviet Russia and the Treaty of Moscow.
11. Week Battle of Sakarya, Ankara and Kars Treaties, Great Offensive and Commander-in-Chief Square Battle, Mudanya Armistice.
12. Week Abolition of the Sultanate, Lausanne Peace Treaty, Proclamation of the Republic, Establishment of the People's Party, Ankara Becoming the Capital.
13. Week Abolition of the Caliphate, Progressive Republican Party and Sheikh Sait Rebellion, Izmir Assassination, Free Republican Party and Menemen Incident.

Program Qualifications:

Students graduating from our Guidance and Psychological Counseling undergraduate program;

1. Basic concepts of psychological counseling and guidance; psychological counseling theories regarding personality, development and different areas of expertise; Explains the basic principles and techniques.

2. Behavior, cognition and emotions of people and society; It provides philosophical, sociological, psychological and educational explanations.

3. Distinguishes individuals with normal and abnormal behavior or individuals with special needs.

4. Based on career development theories, decision-making models and labor market conditions, it provides services that will make it easier for individuals to know and understand themselves and make appropriate decisions during their career development process.

5. Internalizes the professional values, ethical principles, ethical codes and rules required by the field; adheres to them in his professional practice; solves ethical dilemma.

6. Applies the skills of the field in a range ranging from orientation to vocational guidance and from educational guidance to basic psychological counseling skills by adapting them to the individuals and conditions they serve.

7. Using the theoretical and practical knowledge gained in his field, he provides educational services to his stakeholders (families, teachers, etc.) and the society in the context in which he works.

8. Effective communication and psychological counseling skills; It carries out individual and group psychological counseling services by applying a scientific and evidence-based theoretical approach.

9. In addition to their professional development, they constantly improve themselves by determining their educational needs in scientific, cultural, artistic and social fields in line with their interests and abilities.

10. Uses test and non-test individual recognition techniques effectively; prepares guidance programs as needed; Plans, implements and evaluates personal-social, educational and vocational guidance activities.

11. By following the steps of scientific research, one can plan and carry out a research in his/her field under expert supervision, perform simple statistical analyzes and report the results.

12. Can use information and communication technologies (MS Office, SPSS, scientific databases, etc.) at basic-intermediate level that will contribute to his personal and professional quality; Can communicate in written and verbal English at B1 level.

13. Stays true to communicating sincerely with empathetic understanding, unconditional positive acceptance, in both personal and professional life; He strives towards being multicultural and self-actualizing.

14. Considering the well-being and well-being of the individual; It provides preventive mental health services at primary, secondary and tertiary prevention levels.

15. Applies guidance services such as getting to know the individual, collecting and disseminating information, placement, monitoring, orientation, research-evaluation and environmental relations in an integrated manner in the institutions where he/she works.
